In order for the Vault 76 dwellers to gain access to the command center in the Whitespring Congressional Bunker, they need to attain the rank of general. Problem is, there is nothing but the automated promotion system to get them there. MODUS has a plan to resolve that issue and grant players access to the nukes necessary to combat the scorchbeasts, tracking the player's achievements using the Kovac-Muldoon and using it to push them towards the coveted officer laurels.
Walkthrough[]
The quest tracks the player's achievements for promotion purposes. The player needs to gather ten commendations to be promoted to general officer. There are several sources of commendations:
The easiest way to "farm" commendations is to swing by Fort Defiance and complete Line in the Sand repeatedly. Two to three scorchbeasts appear per event, giving commendations for the kills (as long as the player gets even a single shot in, it counts; the killing blow can be dealt by the ASAM).
After the commendations are gathered, the K-C transmits the promotion data and the player is instantly rewarded with the officer gear and Last Bastion.
