Murphy

The Northwest Seneca station is part of the DCTA Metro system. With the entrance located on the northern side of the Potomac River, this Maryland metro station is just north of Arefu, which is situated on the southerly highway bridge.

Restrooms

The only accessible sections of the station are the restroom rotunda and Murphy's laboratory. The restroom rotunda is inhabited by several mole rats. There is a broken concrete bench near the collapsed radioactive area where a skeleton lies, beside a bottle of vodka and a dose of Psycho. Additionally, each restroom contains a first aid box and one of the sinks in men's restroom is filled with frag grenades.

There is also a hidden plasma grenade in between a knife and large scorched book, which can be found in the second stall to the right in the men's bathroom as well. There is also one Eat'o'tronic 3000 vending machine and two Nuka-Cola vending machines in the rotunda, one upright and accessible, the other not so.

Following the riverbed west bound, a military truck with several ammunition boxes can be found.

Murphy's laboratory[]

Murphy's lab

Murphy's laboratory, just past the turnstiles, appears to be a converted maintenance room or office. It is inhabited by two ghouls; Murphy himself and Barrett, who Murphy describes as his "backup and assistant-- in case things get rough".[1] The laboratory is located in the main room, while the bedroom is located in the back, in a gutted office room.

There is also a manhole leading to the Meresti service tunnel in the closet through the back-right hallway in Murphy's lab, surrounded by radioactive barrels.

Speaking to Murphy will lead to the unmarked quest, Murphy's Bombing Run.

Notes[]

  • Murphy and Barrett are friendly characters. Killing them will result in loss of Karma.
  • Murphy's footlocker is initially empty. After giving Murphy some Sugar Bombs it contains some ultrajet. Both ghouls have Murphy's Footlocker Key.
  • This is one of the many places that Talon Company mercs and Regulators spawn, so be ready for a fight when exiting the area.

Appearances[]

Northwest Seneca station appears only in Fallout 3.
