No Mutants Allowed is the oldest still-functioning Fallout fansite, founded in 1997 by Miroslav. Since its inception, it has been found at http://www.nma-fallout.com.

Overview

No Mutants Allowed is notable for releasing a large number of unique materials, including an almost complete set of Van Buren design documents and its tech demo, developer profiles, press packs, and supporting several significant modding projects, most notably Fallout Fixt and killap's Unofficial Fallout 2 Patch and Fallout 2 Restoration Patch. No Mutants Allowed had a robust news section available in French, German, Polish, Russian and Spanish, but declining readership and participation led to the shuttering of non-English news reporting.

No Mutants Allowed is notorious for its outright hostility to Bethesda Game Studios and especially Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. Despite the commonality of engine and many of the gameplay elements between Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, the reception of the latter was much warmer due to it being authored by Obsidian and incorporating many of the story elements created for Van Buren.

Behind the scenes

  • Both Fallout Tactics and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel include instances of No Mutants Allowed graffiti painted on the walls.
  • Roshambo, a former admin for No Mutants Allowed, was mocked in Tactics as a senile old man who urinated into other people's Nuka-Cola, in response to his scathing rants on Black Isle's message boards.
