No, Not Much is a side quest in Fallout: New Vegas.
Synopsis[]
The refugee camp at Bitter Springs is in dire straits, from both lack of personnel and supplies, so Captain Gilles enlists the help of the Courier in whatever they can assist with.
Walkthrough[]
- Talk to Captain Gilles at Bitter Springs.
- Talk to Lt. Markland about lack of medical care and complete Bitter Springs Infirmary Blues.
- Find supplies in three nearby supply caves. One of the caches is irradiated; a Science check of 25 can suggest a way to decontaminate it. Alternatively, Gilles can be lied to about its safety; lying ends the question at this point.
- Request reinforcements from Camp Golf, Forlorn Hope, and McCarran.
- Flags of Our Foul-Ups, I Put a Spell on You, or Restoring Hope must be completed before Sergeant McCredie, Colonel Hsu, or Major Polatli, respectively, will send reinforcements to Bitter Springs.
- Alternatively, if the Courier's reputation with the New California Republic is Liked or Idolized, the officers of each camp can simply be asked to send reinforcements, without the need to complete the previously mentioned quests.
- Return to Captain Gilles.

Notes[]
- Once the quest is completed the NCR flag will return right-side up, instead of upside down, now that Bitter Springs is no longer in distress.
- If choosing to lie about the radioactivity of the irradiated supply cashe, the day after the NCR tents will become irradiated. The next day the camp itself will become irradiated along with the refugees, whom will suffer radiation poisoning.
- Oscar Velasco holds a key to the supply caches in the caves, which you can obtain with a Speech check of 50, or loot from his corpse.
- Speaking to Velasco before speaking to Gilles also allows you to report to her that you know who the sniper is when she initially gives you the Climb Ev'ry Mountain quest, though she states she can not send anyone with you to the cave.
Behind the scenes[]
The title of the quest is a cultural reference to the song "No, Not Much", recorded by The Four Lads in 1956.
Bugs[]
- If you complete the quest for Hsu and allow the monorail to blow up, he may refuse to send reinforcements to Bitter Springs.
- Prior to visiting Bitter Springs, if you gather all three supply caches and present them to Captain Gilles, the objective to locate supplies for Bitter Springs does not become completed, rendering the quest incomplete.
- Captain Gilles can disappear randomly, and you won't be able to finish the quest in that case.
- When helping Dr. Richards with his patients, attempting to diagnose the patients may yield no text box making it impossible to complete this section of the quest.
- If you get the troops sent to the camp, Captain Gilles does not acknowledge that you have succeeded, but it does close out that section of the quest.
