The Nipton Hall is a location in Nipton in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background[]

The seat of governance for the town of Nipton, the hall has seen much in its time, ranging from honest mining to debauchery. Now it's a grim monument to the death of the town at the hands of the Legion.

Layout[]

The Hall has three floors and a basement and once provided the inhabitants of Nipton with essential services. The area is peppered with frag mines and a swarm of Legion mongrels left behind to deny the area to any prospectors.

Ground floor[]

The ground floor contains the bulk of the public service areas. The reception contains the worn key granting entrance to the basement behind the counter - mind the frag mine there - with the court room, lecture halls, class rooms, and town meeting chamber in the back, through a corridor that contains the stairwell and the basement cafeteria.

Town assembly floor[]

The assembly floor is where the Nipton community would formally assemble to vote on laws and other administrative affairs of the town, which would be recorded in the adjacent office chamber. Now it's filled with mongrels. A dead prospector lies on the floor of the assembly chamber, with leveled loot.

Mayor's office[]

The topmost floor contains the opulent offices of the Mayor. The corridor contains a rather well-stocked cafeteria, with a coffee machine, water boiler, refrigerator and vending machines, together with a personal bathroom. The records rooms that would normally contain the administrative staff are abandoned and run-down, but Mayor Steyn's office is rather intact and well-furnished, complete with a locked store room that contains the spoils of his rule.

Notable loot[]

  • Worn Key: Behind the counter in the reception area. There's a mine just under it too. Used to gain access to the basement, which contains two lottery tickets, Turbo, and random containers with weapons and meds.
