The New California Republic Military Police are the law enforcement branch of the New California Republic Army.
Background[]
With the signing of the Treaty of New Vegas, the NCR was allowed to set up an embassy and headquarters for the Military Police. The Military Police are still largely confined to civilian populations. The NCRMP's main goal is to regulate internal affairs, keep the peace in and around bases and other military areas and occasionally guard civilian areas. Any Military Police troopers can usually be singled out by their helmets and uniforms, which usually have "MP" embroidered on the front of their helmets or on an armband.
Technology[]
Largely similar to the NCR Army in terms of equipment, the only major difference is the Military Police's armament. As per the provisions of the Treaty of New Vegas, the NCRMP are not allowed to keep practical weapons in the Strip. Therefore, the Military Police are limited to nonlethal cattle prods as well as combat knives. As such, Military Police are trained more proficiently in melee combat than the rest of the Army, barring the Rangers. Outside the Strip, an MP trooper will usually be carrying an N99 10mm pistol.
Appearances[]
The New California Republic Military Police appear only in Fallout: New Vegas.

Colonel Hsu has me handling the policing duties for the base. I've told him he could make my job a whole lot easier if he would just let me shoot anyone who talks back to me, but you know how colonels can be."
