National Electric[1] was a pre-War company involved in the research and manufacture of holographic technology.
Background[]
Before the Great War, National Electric was a company that along with Frederick Sinclair helped finance and develop holographic projection technology, in cooperation with Big MT. The foundations for advanced applications of this technology were laid in the Z-38 lightwave dynamics research facility, though due to the cost, Big MT researchers were unwilling to further develop the technology, beyond walking cameras and greeters.
However National Electric, based on the technology already established in Big MT, signed off on this project with an exclusive contract with Sinclair to make them like greeters, vendors and security, and fitted them into the Sierra Madre.
Appearances[]
National Electric is mentioned in the Fallout: New Vegas add-ons Dead Money and Old World Blues, and their products appear only in Dead Money.
Behind the scenes[]
National Electric gets its name from General Electric.
