While capable of dealing a massive amount of ballistic damage in a short period of time, the Minigun needs a moment to "spin up" before it can be fired.

Background
A Rockwell CZ53 personal minigun is capable of firing 5mm rounds at over 60,000 RPM[1] with an ammunition capacity dependent on the type of feed mechanism. (120 round unknown[2], 200 round belt-fed drum[3], and 240 box – with accompanying extra belt backpack[4]) The CZ53 personal minigun makes up for the small 5mm round by sending a hail of bullets toward its target. Its sheer size, coupled with its trademark sound, is enough to send anyone in its path running for cover. It's a great weapon for suppressing fire, letting others flank the unsuspecting enemy.[5][6] When the Great War struck, it was already an aging design and was slowly being replaced by the more advanced CZ57 Avenger minigun.[7] The minigun was the favorite weapon of the Mariposa super mutant during the Unity's time, and allowed many of the super mutants to wield them effectively with only one arm.[8]
Characteristics
The minigun is a heavy weapon with multiple rotating barrels. By default, there are six barrels, but this can be modified to only three in order to increase accuracy. Though the multiple-barrel design is meant to reduce heat buildup, the barrels will shift from their normal grey color to a super-heated red if it is fired continuously. The barrels rotate extremely quickly, and allow for an incredibly high rate of fire. Despite the weapons low damage per bullet, this high rate of fire causes the minigun to shred enemies.
The barrels lead back to a bulky, rusty grey body, with a front-handle for the user to support the weight of the weapon in front of the receiver and attached to an ammo drum on both sides. It has a notable drum magazine that includes an animated 5mm ammo belt leading from the front side of the drum to the right side of the main body, into the receiver. The weapon oddly includes two rear handles when placed on the ground, but only one when used when equipped.
Crafting
With the Contraptions Workshop add-on, miniguns can be manufactured using a heavy weapon forge.
