Michael Wu was a citizen who, while travelling with his family, passed through the South Boston military checkpoint on October 11, 2077.
Background[]
Due to the socioeconomic, geopolitical and hyper-jingoist environment at the time, the Chinese-American family was naturally scared to pass through this checkpoint. In so doing, their behavior was taken as "suspicious" by the soldiers. Following their orders – as specified in their manual – the soldiers fully inspected the family and their vehicle, including the dismantling of it, but found no contraband.
Despite the apology from the inspection lead, they were naturally enraged at the situation and complete disregard for their rights. Their very angry protests against the soldiers (particularly when they were yelling in a foreign language, which they believed was most likely Chinese) was seen as an aggressive act, resulting in their detainment and transfer to military police custody.[1]
Appearances[]
Michael Wu is mentioned only in Fallout 4.
