Very similar to other 40mm grenade rifles in the Mojave Wasteland with the only difference in the darker tone of both the wood and metal and its lighter weight. Unlike the majority of unique weapons variants, it can be modded with the Grenade Rifle Long Barrel.
The mercenary's grenade rifle can fire a total of 495 grenades from full condition before breaking.
Originally, the only way to acquire this weapon was by redeeming the code that came with the pre-order exclusive Mercenary Pack. It can now also be acquired by purchasing the Courier's Stash add-on.

Grunt does not work on this the Mercenary's grenade rifle.
JSawyer adds the Mercenary's grenade rifle to the Grunt list, but requires all add-ons to work.
The long barrel mod can be attached to the Mercenary's grenade rifle, but it will stop using its unique texture and just look like a normal grenade rifle.
When placed on the ground, the Mercenary's grenade rifle will only be textured with its unique texture on the barrel, but the stock will still use the normal grenade rifle texture.

Damage done by this weapon does not contribute to the 'Aiming is Optional' challenge.
