— Melinda and the Chosen One

Melinda is the Chief Greeting Officer of Vault City in Fallout 2.[1]

Background[]

A glorified secretary utterly devoted to the ideology of Vault City, Melinda is incredibly stiff and looks like she has not relaxed in years.[2] Her unquestioning support for the segregation in Vault City manifests within seconds of speaking to her, as she describer the grandeur and splendor of Vault City. Naturally, she refers to the Inner City, where the citizens live, rather than the Courtyard, where the Citizens exploit (or "protect") the less fortunate.[3]

Interactions with the player character[]

Interactions overview[]

This character has no special interactions.

Effects of player actions[]

  • After one has finished their conversation with her in an overly questioning fashion, being what she feels is a disrespectful way of talking of Vault City and its structure, she will no longer engage in conversation and will instead refer the Chosen One to her subordinate.
