Sergeant McGee is a non-commissioned NCR Army officer stationed at Primm in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background

Born and raised in the Hub, McGee is a veteran non-commissioned officer of the 1st Company of the 5th Army Battalion, currently under Lieutenant Hayes. He's on his second tour of duty and keeps his nose to the grind stone, just following whatever orders the lieutenant gives. Lately, they were limited to keeping tabs on the convicts holed up in Primm and trying to keep them contained. In fact he was on scout when Deputy Beagle was captured and marched into the Bison Steve Hotel, choosing not to act, instead citing lack of a long rifle and proper orders.

My Kind of Town

Quests

• My Kind of Town: McGee is one of three potential candidates for the town's mayor. If the town elects Meyers or Primm Slim, McGee will travel overland to Camp Forlorn Hope. However, as he is one of the few characters who do not spawn, but instead walk to their destination, McGee is almost guaranteed to die on the way, as it takes him through several hostile areas.
  • The route is as follows: North out of Primm along the interstate, through Barton Thorn's campsite, then past Jean Sky Diving and into Hidden Valley. He then passes through Scorpion Gulch, north of Gibson Scrap Yard and Southern Nevada Wind Farm, then uphill straight into the camp.

Other interactions

• The game will display a message if McGee dies, as if a companion was killed.
• McGee is set to level with the player, eventually becoming several times stronger than regular NCR troopers.

• PC If he's made sheriff, McGee will spawn at the sheriff's shack, but be blocked in the corner due to the furniture arrangement.
