So long as my back don't give out, I can make a living lying on it.

Maude is an elderly prostitute working for Pretty Sarah at Westside's Casa Madrid Apartments in Fallout: New Vegas.

Referred to as the "discount rack" by her pimp, Maude is the oldest and most experienced of the three sex workers at Casa Madrid.[1] She may be going a bit senile,[2] but Maude believes it is experience that counts more than just good looks, and experience is something at which her coworkers can never beat her.[3] Despite her age, Maude is picky about her customers. She only entertains male customers and even then, anal intercourse is out of the question.[4][5]

Her coworkers are Jimmy and Sweetie. She gets along well with the others, but disapproves of Jimmy's homosexuality and is pretty jealous of Sweetie's popularity and income.[6][7]

Notable quotes

  • "Hello, stranger. You looking for a good time?"
  • "Don't see many or your kind here in the Casa. Women, I mean - who ain't working."
  • "Always knew there was something wrong with Dermot and Saint James. Neither one ever got busy between my legs!"
  • "Been enjoying your time at the Casa?"
  • "That's right. Strange at first, having a woman for a pimp, but she's tough enough to handle any trouble so far."
  • "Those boys been living here a while now. They sell salvage and do all right. I never been with either of them. That Saint James is all over Sweetie every time he rustles up the caps to afford her. She says he's peculiar but who isn't?"

Maude appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.

  1. The Courier: "Who's the merchandise?"
Pretty Sarah: "Three flavors to choose from - Sweetie, Maude, and Jimmy. Sweetie's the house favorite, for reasons that should be obvious. Maude is what you might call the discount rack. She's what a customer wears if he doesn't have the caps to afford Sweetie - or just likes them old. Jimmy's more of a "specialist." I only hear good things."
    (Pretty Sarah's dialogue)
  2. The Courier: "I'd like your services."
Maude: "No discounts for repeat customers... I think we did it before, anyways."
    (Maude's dialogue)
  3. The Courier: "Aren't you kind of old to be doing this?"
Maude: "Old but spry, honey. So long as my back don't give out, I can make a living lying on it. May not be as fresh as Sweetie or Jimmy, but Pretty Sarah keeps me around for a good reason - experience!"
    (Maude's dialogue)
  4. The Courier: "I'd like your services."
Maude: "Best prices around so long as you don't try putting anything someplace it was never intended. How's that sound?"
    (Maude's dialogue)
  5. The Courier: "I'd like your services."
Maude: "If you're looking to get perverted, go talk to Sweetie. She's less particular than I am."
    (Maude's dialogue)
  6. The Courier: "Tell me about Sweetie."
Maude: "She's a good earner. Of course, she don't care who she sleeps with or what they do to her."
    (Maude's dialogue)
  7. The Courier: "What do you know about Jimmy?"
Maude: "I suppose he's okay, for one of those. I suppose Pretty Sarah's got to cover every sort of customer."
    (Maude's dialogue)
