The family must have gotten to them in the last attack! Sons of bitches!

Evan King upon hearing the West's deaths.

Matilda West was an inhabitant of Arefu in Fallout 3.

Background[]

The Wests were settlers in Arefu for over 10 years, and no one in the settlement appears to hold a grudge against them. Indeed, Matilda was responsible for clearing out the village outhouse, a task now sadly fallen to Ken Ewers.[1]

Matilda was married to Davis West and mother to Ian West and Lucy West. After the family had settled down in Arefu, Lucy West migrated to Megaton, leaving Ian and her family behind. Matilda lived in Arefu with her husband and son until her untimely demise.

Relationships[]

Matilda West is the wife of Davis West and mother of Ian and Lucy West.

This character is involved in quests.

Quests[]

  • Blood Ties: Matilda is found dead when you search the West's house. You can examine her or her husband to find out the cause of their deaths. With a Medicine skill of 30 and above, you can reveal they were bitten on the neck, and that the bite goes all the way to the bone. Later on, it's revealed that Ian was the one killed both his parents.

Notes[]

  • Matilda is recognized as a prop rather than as a dead character, and as such she cannot be resurrected and cannot be searched/looted, nor dismembered. The same applies to her husband Ian.

On closer inspection, it seems Matilda West has been slain using the same odd techniques as the those employed on her husband.
