The Massachusetts Turnpike interchange is a Gunners encampment located in the Commonwealth.
Background[]
This massive highway interchange is one of the largest in the state. It has weathered centuries of neglect surprisingly well and is now an encampment for the Gunners.[1]
Layout[]
Below the interchange is a small hut with a lift up to the main camp; alternatively, there is another lift to the north, on the west side of the overpass after cresting a small hill. The camps entrance is in the north part of the overpass. Past a defensive turret are some sleeping quarters with three beds. Further on, a short ways past a destroyed bus is a metal supply shack with a weapons workbench outside it. At the very end of the camp, is the Gunner commander's quarters, which contains a steamer trunk, a copy of Grognak the Barbarian on the can, and has a power armor station outside of it.
Notable loot[]
- A random partial suit of power armor is found outside the Gunner commander's quarters in the very southern part of the camp. There is also a fusion core inside it.
- Grognak the Barbarian: On the toilet seat in the commander's quarters, by the steamer trunk.
- A Nuka-Cola Quantum and Nuka Cherry are in the Nuka-Cola machine next to the first sleeping quarters.
Appearances[]
The Mass Pike interchange appears only in Fallout 4.

This elevated highway interchange is now a well-defended and extremely defensible Gunner camp. There are two elevators to use; the one to the north has no nearby adversaries, whereas the one under the main central structure has a hut with Gunners waiting. The camp is behind the billboard signs, under the upper north-south freeway. However, by heading south and doubling back, you can climb and sneak above the camp. With careful maneuvering (and use of the curved elevated ramps), you can trek along the east-west freeway all the way to Mass Pike Tunnel West. A must for snipers."
