Background[]
The brutal head of the Pack is a mountain of a man. Red haired and with unmatched skill, he established dominance not through brutality and intimidation like Colter, but by charisma and force of will. He leads his men by example, being the wildest and most tenacious of them - but not without intelligence. He joined Colter for caps and thrills, but while the former kept coming, the latter didn't. Dissatisfied with his leadership, Mason backed the right horse, Porter Gage, and his plan for a replacement.

- If at the end of the initial meeting the player selects the difficult persuasion check, Mason will be both intimidated and impressed. In recognition, he gives the player a token of appreciation, The Problem Solver, a custom handmade rifle.
