Mary Holden is a resident of Vault 101 in Fallout 3. She is the wife of Tom Holden.

Background

She and her husband are two of the residents in Vault 101 who the Lone Wanderer will encounter during their escape from Vault 101. If the player does not kill the security guards in time, she is likely to be killed by Officer O'Brian and Officer Richards when she tries to follow Tom on his escape. There is no karma bonus for saving either Tom or Mary, nor is there a karma loss for letting them perish.

The Holdens will flee if the character gets shot at before Tom attempts his escape. Players may wish to utilize this to save the Holdens. Since the guards will rarely leave their post and chase the player, the vault can be broken free from with minimal bloodshed.[1]
