Mary's mother was one of the inhabitants of Vault-Tec's Secret Vault.
Background[]
Mary's mother was apparently killed during the local civil war between Vault-Tec scientists and Blake. Mary often searches the Deathclaw infested ruins section of the Vault, searching for her mother's gold ring.

- In Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel manual Mary is dubbed as "Vault Elder's daughter". It is unknown, though, if it refers to her mother or father.
