Leather armor is a lightweight body armor made from tanned animal hide, offering protection from firearms and melee damage.[1]

Variants[]
One-sleeved leather jacket[]
A very stylish pre-War black, heavy leather jacket. This jacket is an ill choice to wear in the scorching sun of the desert and one of the arms has been torn off.[2][3]
Two-sleeved combat leather jacket[]
This heavily padded leather jacket is unusual in that it has two sleeves. You'll definitely make a fashion statement whenever, and wherever, you rumble.[4]
Motorcycle football armor[]
This leather armor is based on pre-War armor designed for Motorcycle Football and other dangerous contact sports. The simple construction techniques required to produce armor of this design made it a popular choice following the Great War. It provides moderate protection, and the light construction makes it easier to dodge attacks while worn. Unfortunately, it provides little to no protection against explosions or plasma attacks.[5]
The principal material used to construct leather armor after the war is tanned brahmin hide,[6] making it cheap and readily available to nearly anyone.

A superior version of the motorcycle football armor design, finely crafted from tanned brahmin hide.[7]
One-sleeved leather armor[]
A full black leather armor with one sleeve and bits of motorcycle football equipment like football shoes.
One-sleeved lightweight leather armor[]
A hand-modified suit of one-sleeved black leather armor for reduces its overall weight and increase its ability to protect with a more rugged black leather.
One-sleeved leather armor, reinforced[]
A reinforced version of the one-sleeved black leather armor, equipped with brown leather protective and crafted with a tanned strong and robust black leather.
One-sleeved gecko-backed leather armor[]
A leather armor crafted from the durable hides of geckoes. The fire, golden, and green gecko hides also confer a bonus to fire, radiation, and poison resistances.
One-sleeved gecko-backed leather armor, reinforced[]
A reinforced version of the standard gecko leather armor which still confers bonus to fire, radiation and poison resistances.
Two-sleeved Tunnel Snake leather jacket[]
A "Perfecto" style leather jacket with a snake emblem on the back, has two sleeves, worn on top of a Vault 101 jumpsuit, used by the Tunnel Snakes gang in Vault 101.
Eastern Brotherhood leather armor[]

A suit of leather armor crafted, like other types, from tanned brahmin hide. Unlike other types of leather body armor, Brotherhood variants are composed of individual segments mounted on the body using straps. The armor includes pauldrons, a cuirass, breastplate, pauldrons, armguards, and a complete set of armor for the legs and groin. For some reason, the Brotherhood chose to paint all leather armor orange.
Midwestern Brotherhood leather armor mark II[]

A superior version of the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel leather armor with a new design for the torso, more reinforced than the mark I version with more layer of orange tanned brahmin hide.
