A Wattz 2000 laser rifle. Uses micro fusion cells for more powerful lasers, and an extended barrel for additional range.

In-game description, Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel

Wattz 2000 laser rifles are energy weapons that can be found and obtained in Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, and serve as a moderately powerful weapons that can deal with both armored and unarmored enemies.

Background[]

The following section is transcluded from Laser rifle. To modify, please edit the source page.

The Wattz 2000 laser rifle (also referred to as the Sunbeam laser rifle)[1] uses microfusion cells for more powerful lasers, and an extended barrel for additional range.[2][1] The Wattz 2000 was mass produced before the Great War, and was accurate enough to be used as a sniper rifle in the Sino-American War[3]

Characteristics[]

Utilizing the uncommon microfusion cell as ammunition, these laser rifles can cut through unarmored enemies like butter, and packs a decent wallop against armored enemies, as well. These weapons remain effective against most common enemies, but against robots or even deathclaws, these rifles become more and more ineffective.

This weapon along with 3 other weapons(Gauss rifle, Hunting rifle, M1 Garand) has an aiming bonus when used on long ranges. Sniper rifle gets a similar but an even bigger long range aiming bonus. These bonuses come with an close range aiming penalty which is bigger than the standard penalty other ranged weapons have. This means that if one wants a weapon for long range sniping, than one of the mentioned 5 weapons should be used.

Locations[]

Brotherhood safehouses will begin selling these laser rifles throughout the game, and can be found uncommonly on human combatants at later levels.

Notes[]

  • This model's surname is noted as the "Sunbeam laser rifle" in-game.
  • This "Sunbeam" model differs from the model seen previously, in that it has a pistol grip rather than a rifle grip.
