Gentle-looking and soft-spoken, Kohl handles the distribution of written material throughout the city. However, he believes that his position is going to become redundant soon: The council is discussing installing access terminals in every household, hooked into the List Server and Information Archives, giving immediate information to every bit of information it stores. As all books in the city are being transcribed into an electronic format and the remainders shipped off to the Amenities Office, this young book worm is heart broken.
