Knight Keane was one of seven Brotherhood soldiers sent to the Commonwealth as a part of recon squad Gladius, in which their missions were to eliminate mutant encampments, to discover the whereabouts of recon squad Artemis, and to acquire important technology whenever the chance presented itself. Upon arriving in Boston, the squad was immediately assaulted by the Corvega power plantraiders, and although Keane managed to survive, his personal suit of power armor was damaged,[1] and ultimately had to be abandoned without being scuttled, first. Following the fortification of the Cambridge police station and two unsuccessful assaults by the recon squad, on both the Corvega power plant raiders and the Fort Strong super mutants, Keane was forced to take part in the defense of the police station, against an unusually large group of roaming feral ghouls, in which he died during the fighting.[2][3]
