Detailed walkthrough[]
If you choose to be a Hubologist, and follow their teachings, this is the second quest given by AHS-9, the Hub Leader (dressed in a tuxedo) or AHS-7, the recruiter (dressed in a gray Hubologist robe).
You have to go to the Oil Tanker at the San Francisco bay (north of the city) and eliminate Badger. You don't really need to kill him yourself, just ask the Hubologist hacker to put fuel on the tanker, then go to the tanker and stay there a while. Two Shi guards will appear and kill Badger.
Once you kill Badger, all the vagrants will turn hostile. If you escape the tanker and enter it after you have reported your assassination to the Hubologists, Badger's colleagues will no longer be hostile but will badmouth you for killing their friend, insult your intelligence and remain determined to not join the Hubologists; the merchants will refuse to deal with you. Finally, talking to Marc will turn him and the rest of the vagrants hostile against you once again.
Bugs[]
- If you kill Badger after you have asked him to divert fuel to the tanker, his death will not be registered, that is, AHS-7 will still ask you to kill him and the dialogue option to report his death will not available.
