Keller Family Refuge is an unmarked quest in Fallout 3.

Walkthrough

Five holotapes shortly predating the nuclear apocalypse in 2077 have been scattered around the Capital Wasteland. The first tape introduces the family's plan to seek refuge in the National Guard Depot armory bunker and the other four contain a piece of the passcode to gain entry into the bunker.

Tape 1

Main article: Pylon shack

Travel to the VAPL-58 power station, directly southwest of Arefu, then head north following the electric towers until you reach the pylon shack (it's more like a fenced-in area at the last electric tower), where you will find the tape on the bottom shelf of the bookcase.

This tape is not required to enter the bunker as it does not contain one of the 4-digit code numbers.

Tape 2

Travel to Hallowed Moors Cemetery north of Big Town. Go in the front entrance of the church, and the second of five Keller family transcripts will be on the left on top of the podium. The place is usually guarded by three super mutants accompanied by some centaurs.

Tape 3

Main article: Grisly Diner

The Grisly Diner is just north of The Temple of the Union or due northwest of Canterbury Commons. Travel to the diner and head inside, then go right and out the back. The third Keller tape is located on a desk at the back (outside). The diner is home to a band of raiders and is trapped with a significant amount of frag mines.

Tape 4

Main article: Sniper shack

Travel to Rockbreaker's Last Gas and look to the left. On top of the hill, you will see the sniper shack, at the top of a cliff; it is the location of the fourth Keller family transcripts. Make your way around the cliff on the southwest side of the cliff (there may be some super mutants/centaurs along the way). Inside the shack, the tape will be on the workbench on the left.

Tape 5

Travel to Anchorage War Memorial and head north-northeast. Across the river, there is a semi-truck and a tent behind it. Inside the tent on the table is the fifth Keller tape, along with a wasteland captive being guarded by a super mutant and two centaurs.

National Guard bunker

Once all of the tapes required have been found, head to the National Guard Depot. You will have to transverse the entire compound to find a switch in the main lobby that is initially out of reach. After flipping the switch, an klaxon sounds and reinforced doors open. Through these doors is the bunker. A terminal requests the four digit passcode: '5-7-4-6'. Once all the holotapes are recovered, the terminal will allow you passage. Inside the bunker are a number of skeletons and a glowing one.

Further inside the bunker you will find the Experimental MIRV, a unique Fat Man that shoots eight mini-nukes at once, 5 mini nukes, a U.S. Army: 30 Handy Flamethrower Recipes, a Nuka-Cola Quantum and various other collectible items.
