Crash and burn…crash and burn…
”Junkies are victims of Jet addiction in New Reno in Fallout 2.
Background[]
These poor, ragged souls fill the alleyways of New Reno after running out of money and goods to exchange for Jet. Their addiction has left them a ragged, ruined mess: Eyes bloodshot, body malnourished, and entire existence in pain. Their only objective in life is to get another fix.

Other interactions[]
- Junkies will normally offer only pained floats. However, using Jet on them will cause them to switch to another, completely different set of floats that will vary depending on the player's reputations and party members.

Behind the scenes[]
- When these junkies are high, among their generic float dialogue is them singing;
- "I…just want to fly. Put your arms around me, baby, put your arms around me, baby." This is a reference to Sugar Ray' Fly.[1]
- "Rocketman, burning off the mmmmumble there alone…" This is a reference to Elton Johns' Rocket Man (I Think It's Going to Be a Long, Long Time).[2]
- "We don't need another hero, we don't need to know the way home…" This is a reference to Tina Turner's We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome).[3]
Appearances[]
These junkies appear only in Fallout 2.
