Jetliner
LocationThe Commonwealth, Appalachia
base id00000000

Operated principally by Horizon Airlines, the blended wing jetliner was one of the most impressive achievements of pre-War transportation technology.

Characteristics[]

Characterized by the blending of the wings into the fuselage, the Horizon airplane was a beast not just in terms of size: It was capable of ferrying at least three times as many passengers as conventional designs due to the expansion of the passenger cabin into the hollow wings, with large, panoramic windows included for their pleasure. The hollowed wings were a product of the nuclear engines, each wing being provided with no less than four nuclear engines (for a total of eight), allowing the titanic aircraft to ferry its cargo as well as forgo space in the wings that would be used for fuel and convert it to a passenger seating area. Unfortunately, the civilian airliner was not built to withstand EMP blasts - many wound up knocked out of the air on October 23, 2077, like Skylanes flight 1981.[1] Afterwards, many were used for various purposes, such as housing, storage, and other uses.

Behind the scenes[]

Appearances[]

The blended wing airplane appears in Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.
