One of the youngest members of the chapter, Stanton is currently working through his Initiatehood, learning the ways of the Brotherhood of Steel and training in combat and studying hard sciences. Of course, as young adults are, he has a bit of a rebel in him.
Together with fellow Initiate, Melissa Watkins, Stanton checked out a laser pistol to practice shooting and sneaked out of the Hidden Valley bunker. They practiced their marksmanship on radscorpions at the nearby Scorpion gulch, but the mutated animals proved to be too numerous to keep at bay. They were forced to flee, but the pistol was lost when Stanton accidentally dropped it.
The missing pistol would be enough to cause major problems for both of the Initiates. Watkins advised Stanton to modify the logs to avoid embarrassment, but the damage was done. As Torres comes closer and closer to finding the culprit, Stanton grows more nervous by the day.
