Lou tell me watch place. Not let no one in. Not normals most. Take normals to the Lou. Hey...
— Harry

Harry is a Mariposa super mutant stationed in the Watershed in Necropolis in Fallout.

Harry is one of the largest super mutants in existence, with brawn matched by very few. Even the Lieutenant would have trouble putting Harry on the ground, or at least so Harry believes. Fortunately, unlike the Lou, Harry doesn't have the brains to go with his brawn. He is one of the stupidest super mutants to come out of the Mariposa vats and that's saying something. Yet, for reasons unknown, he was chosen as the head of the mutant garrison at Necropolis following the tenuous alliance between Set and the super mutants. Harry is in charge of the water supply (giving him leverage over the ghouls) and looking out for prime normals for dipping.[2]

Interactions with the player character

This character is involved in quests.

Other interactions

  • The player can convince Harry that he is not a human (otherwise, Harry drags them all the way to Mariposa and the Lieutenant), though this requires either a low Intelligence (less than 3, meaning the player character is even more stupid than Harry, enough to confuse him), good Speech (over 99%; the player can pretend they're a mutant or a robot), or simply killing poor ol' Harry.

Harry appears in Fallout. He is also mentioned in Fallout 2 as one of the possible answers to the Bridge Keeper's first question.

  1. Harry's dialogue: "{171}{Harry203}{You kill my brother, Barry!}"
  2. Fallout Official Survival Guide p.93-94: "Harry: Super-Mutant Spy and Leader
Harry is the leader of the super mutants protecting the water shed in the Necropolis, and as such, he is the one you're going to have to get past if you want to accomplish one of the principle goals of your mission. He is also a spy, keeping a close eye on Set for the Lieutenant. He is on the alert for any "normals," whom he will try to capture and take to his boss.
He is one of the largest super-mutants you'll meet in the game, an enormous creature that makes the Terminator look like a skinny runt by comparison. Fortunately, he has one endearing trait: he is mind-numbingly stupid, and a smart player can turn this against him.
Harry leads a group of mutants in guarding the water shed. Their names are Larry, Gary, Barry, Terry, and Sally. (Sally does not like his name very much.)"
