Ham Radio

Radio Signal Alfa Lima Ham Radio

A Ham radio is a small radio transceiver popular among amateur radio enthusiasts throughout the Capital Wasteland.

Uses

  • Ham Radios can only be turned on or off, and seem to have no practical function in the game.
  • A few Ham Radios are connected to masts with powered transmitters; see Fallout 3 radio stations: Signals.
  • Other than turning one on or off, characters cannot affect a Ham Radio; they cannot be moved, taken or destroyed.
  • At one location the growl of a feral ghoul can be heard when the system is turned on.
  • The radio can also attract the attention of raiders in the Super-Duper Mart.
