Grifter's fit is a unique piece of clothing in the Fallout 3 add-on Point Lookout.
Characteristics[]
An outfit composed of mismatched pieces of clothing, including red striped trousers, a low-cut sleeveless shirt, combat boots, keffiyeh, and a pre-War military field jacket on top. Where the jacket comes from is unknown - Tobar crossed out the original owner's name (Chris) and replaced it with his own.
It provides a damage resistance of 2 as well as bonuses of 1 to Charisma and 5 to Small Guns. The grifter's fit can be repaired with wasteland outfits and roving trader outfits.
Location[]
Can be taken from Tobar upon returning to the Duchess Gambit after meeting Nadine at the Ark & Dove Cathedral. Nadine will explain that Tobar is the one who performs the brain surgery on the Tribals, and he keeps all of the brain pieces. She says that you can go and take care of him in the engine room. After talking with him, he will turn hostile.
Notes[]
- Grifter is a slang word for a con-man, or hustler.
- In the Effects section of Stats on your Pip-boy it is called "Duster" and its effects are the same as those of the regulator duster.
Behind the scenes[]
- The combat jacket is very similar to the M65 Combat Field Jacket of the Vietnam-era U.S. Army.
