Equipment: Vindicator Miniguns will suffice, however it is better to have as many as possible of following: M2, Plasma Rifle, SunBeam rifle, Pulse grenades (energy weapons are preferred).

Great Bend (mission)
Right after start, you can find Jake, first of survivors. Next you can find about six robot (about 3-4 armed with slicing weapons, one sniper rifle, one FN-FAL). First robot is hiding behind sandbags, second one little bit to the east, behind sand bags. Next 2-3 are hiding behind a car found on the road, right after the first sandbags line. The last robot can be found south from sandbags, right after electrified pond(which causes a lot of damage, ensure you don't take bath.

The mission in Great Bend is to seek out and destroy all of the robots in the area, and to possibly make contact with any survivors.
Right next to the pond there is walled building. Fence entrance can be found on southern wall(requires lockpicks ~100), inside you can find the second survivor (Noelene) who tells you about big pacification robot pinned by collapsing wall. In the same building you can find some helpful medical supplies.

In the north-east part of insertion zone there is building with switch and shelf (30x of acid). Switch opens gate, which blocks pass to east.

After cleaning insertion zone proceed east.

North from insertion zone gate you can find door in the fence. Once open it gives access to sort of packaging plant (building with some sort of turbines on roof). Inside there are two security robots and two load lifters. In bodies and locker you will find some ammo, books and medical supplies (Note that from place where the locker is located, you can gun down bots to the north).

To the south you will find a building (tagged: "BOS go home") which requires some lockpicking. Inside you will find Mike, crate with some supplies and stairs down. The stairs lead to the ditch to south, from the ditch you can climb to face robots guarding second packaging plant.

Second plant is guarded both, inside and outside. Outside there are two robots, one armed with M16, second fighting with his hands. Inside there are three security robots. East from second plant you can find a scrap yard. It is well defended (robot with ranged, mostly energy weapons)

After cleaning the scrapyard proceed south, over the bridge. From here you can either travel west, along ditch, till you reach road or open door in fence, leading to some factory (look like smelter). Immediately after passing smelter fence, you will encounter two robots with laser pistol, and on far end, two robots with sniper rifle and M60.

Smelter is defended by three load lifters. Inside you will find Environmental Armor Mark II and some medical supplies.

Smaller smelter to the west is deffended by two load lifter and 1x robot (you will probably fight them before entering bigger smelter).

After cleaning smaller smelter, head north, you will find switch and building with trapped pacification bot inside. Once switch is flipped, proceed through gate. You will find three robots (Vindicator, M60 and Sunbeam)

Next is final area (west), last robots present. You can either rush and kill (since its deffended by one robot and two load lifter - or you can shadow wall south than west, go through doors and head for switch - it activates the hydraulic press. Once are is cleared, evac.

Before the Great War, Great Bend was the largest city and county seat of Barton County, Kansas and a major center of industry. Now, it is a town full of garbage, whose inhabitants don't care much of hygiene, living and feeding in the junk.

Background

Around 2198, Eastern Brotherhood of Steel intelligence located the possible origin of the humanoid robot that attacked Junction City and the tracks originated from Great Bend. The Calculator's robots attacked the place, killed nearly everyone and now were transforming this location into a robot manufacturing facility. Only a few humans survived the initial robot attack on the town: Mike, Noelene, Jake and Gloria. A woman named Ripley, the inhabitant of this town freed from Freeport by the warrior, could be found dead near the entrance. Eventually, the robots were attacked by the Brotherhood of Steel squad, led by the warrior. A pacification robot, who was damaged by the steel yard cart fallen on him, was found here. General Dekker believed that this robot was the one appointed as a leader, who controlled other robots in this location. With it being damaged the robots become unavailable to complete their task to build a manufacturing plant. It is unknown whether the town was repopulated again.
