Gorillas are creatures found in Fallout 4 and its add-on Nuka-World.

Background[]

It is unknown if unmutated gorillas still exist in the wild after the Great War, but that did not keep the Institute from using their DNA to create synthetic versions of the great ape. Although some balk at the frivolous nature of this kind of research effort, Clayton Holdren believes they are a useful exercise in seeing just how far they can push synthetic biology. In other words, without looking for boundaries, how can you exceed them?[1]

If synthetic gorillas are anything like their human counterparts, they are completely indistinguishable from the real thing, with functioning organ systems, and real skin, muscle and fur. Standing roughly six feet tall and weighing in excess of 250 pounds, these wild animals are ferocious through and through.

Characteristics[]

These gorillas are kept behind glass enclosures in the BioScience sector of The Institute and cannot be interacted with. However, should any faction assault the Institute toward the end of the game, their enclosures will be shattered and attack anything not allied with the Institute.

Appearances[]
