Glowing Angler is a creature in Far Harbor.

Background[]

Main article: Angler

Anglers are huge, mutated angler fish that have grown limbs.[1] Lurking around ponds and other shallow water, anglers use their bioluminescence to attract prey; their glowing cranial appendage looks exactly like a lure weed. Any animal the gets too close, enthralled by this glowing light, is attacked by the angler.[2]

Characteristics[]

Main article: Angler

Anglers aren't particularly tough opponents but, like all enemies, they can quickly become a challenge if they outnumber the player. In order to discern whether what's in the water is an angler or just a mere lure weed, one must look closely at the surface; it is possible to see the mass of angler lurking just beneath the water.

Appearances[]

Glowing angler appears in Far Harbor.

References

  1. Given the name, glowing lure, large eyes, general body shape, and fanged mouth, one can deduce that anglers are mutated angler fish.
  2. Far Harbor loading screen hints: "Anglers wait in ambush for prey to come to them. Their glowing "lure" mimics the look of a flower common to the island."
