I am going to do everything I can to get Michelle's committee outside as soon as possible. We'll get our water issues resolved, and form lasting bonds with our neighbors in the world outside.

George Stault was the last overseer of Vault 3, succeeding Lincoln Davis and continuing his policy of opening up the Vault to the outside. Publicly endorsed by the outgoing Overseer during the Town Hall meeting, Stault was challenged in the elections by the Isolationists, who preferred to see the Vault locked down.[2] Running against him was Michael Robinson, who wanted to cautiously open up the Vault to the world, trading only for items necessary for the continued survival of the Vault and slowly adapting to the brave new world outside the confines of the airlock.[3] The election went to Stault, who accelerated the opening schedule in a bit to resolve the Vault's ongoing water supply issues and form lasting bonds with their neighbors.[4] Robinson would apparently resort to more overt measures of taking control of the Vault, leading the Overseer to lock away weapons in the Vault's armories.[5] In a fit of irony, this proved to be both Stault's and the Vault's undoing, when the Fiends breached the Vault perimeter and wiped out its inhabitants. Stault's legacy would be the death of his people and whatever terminals remained that chronicled the fall of his Vault.

    Dear Lincoln,
Thank you for your endorsement at the Town Hall meeting last night. You are so well respected by the residents, that I am sure it will greatly increase my chances of following you to the "Big Chair." Since Michelle started making plans and gathering people for her External Association Committee the Isolationists have been gathering followers, as you well know. I think having me follow you as Overseer will serve to slow their efforts.
    Thanks Again,
    George"

George, we've been friends for a while, so I hope you didn't take my candidacy for Overseer personally. I'm going to do whatever I can to keep our friends and family safe, and if that means taking our exposure to the outside world slow, and keeping to ourselves (outside of what we need, of course), then that is what I'm going to push for. No one knows what it is going to be like out there. There could be horrific mutants, or strange wandering vagabonds, aliens, murderous gangs. WE have no idea. Let's be smart about this.

    To: *ALL RESIDENTS*
    Greetings Everyone!
Thank you all for putting your trust in me. I am honored to serve as your Overseer for the next term, and hopefully beyond. I am going to do everything I can to get Michelle's committee outside as soon as possible. We'll get our water issues resolved, and form lasting bonds with our neighbors in the world outside.
Thanks again for putting your trust in me.
    George Stault, Overseer"

    George,
I'm not sure what Michael is planning, but I suggest that you leave the weapons in those two submerged storerooms. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any support, and there is no need to give him the opportunity to arm himself.
    Michelle"
