The Gatling laser is an energy weapon that appears in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
Background[]
Based upon the design of Dr. Richard Gatling's Gatling gun, the Gatling laser uses multiple rotating barrels to fire a heavy and impressive stream of light radiation laser beams without overheating quickly.
Models[]
H&K L30 Gatling laser[]
The H&K L30 Gatling laser[1], also referred to as the Sunbeam Gatling laser, [2] was designed specifically for military use. At the beginning of the war, these models were still in the prototype stage. They are powered by microfusion cells and the multiple barrels allow longer periods of firing before the weapon overheats.[1]
UB-FRIED 3000 Gatling laser[]
In contrast with the L30 Gatling laser, the UB-FRIED 3000 is not only fully automatic and with a much larger ammunition capacity, but was also mass produced. While the 3000 units entered service shortly before the war, they quickly became an important part of the arsenal of both of pre-War and post-War factions.

Fusion core powered Gatling laser[]
A rotary laser cannon boasting four independent AER9 barrel assemblies, the Gatling laser is intended for suppression and elimination of the heaviest and most durable targets. Due to the excessive power consumption, this model of the Gatling is powered by a fusion core, granting 500 units of energy - more than enough to annihilate any foe.
