Hi everyone, it's me Guardian, and I have a few suggestions for changes again. I know I do this on occasion, and it seems to drum up some nice momentum for driving things forward, so I have a few suggestions which I'd like to plot out and get some ideas and discussion on.

Item 1

The background and banner have been waiting just a tad too long to be decided, and the current one is too Fallout 3 to be honest, and this is a problem in my eyes for two reasons. It is the most controversial of the entire series, which is not in a good way, which annoys some people that it is the theme we are following, especially seen as many of us are more dedicated to enjoy Fallout 3 as anything but a spin-off. Secondly, it is an issue because it is not the most current game.

Therefore, in the interest of offering solutions as well as problems, I'd like to suggest that we start a series of votes, for say three days at a time to eliminate the banners and backgrounds that we do not like, and then have a discussion to decide them after we have a few remaining. We really need to start doing something about this now.

Item 2

Small suggestion, but something I think might be good if we got something with the appropriate knowledge to look into. Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki (and indeed the best fan-produced wiki going) has something which I think looks very sleak, and would be well fitted to any wiki, but in my opinion, especially ours. It can be found here.

'What am I looking for on this page' you ask? They have borderless contents boxes, which are in my opinion wonderful as I have always found that box very, very untidy.

Item 3

I think it is about time that we standardised the order of the page sections. This is as, although the headers are definitely set, there is a major issue with the bottom sections. There is too much variation in the pages as to whether or not gallery is above or below appearances, where notes and bugs should appear and any combination of these. Therefore, I would like to get a page added to the guidelines whereby it is set out once and for all the order in which the sections should come.

Thank you all for your time. -- GOTW User | Talk 14:44, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

  1. Agreed
  2. When you say content boxes, I assume you mean the infobox?
  3. We already have that part laid out in the guidelines, in fact my bot re-orders the section (as long as they are named correctly or close to) into the right order. Problem is, a lot of the older pages pre-date when the layout guide lines where set down and have not been touched in a while. This results in different section headers and wrong orders i.e. glitches section instead of bugs, trivia instead of behind the scenes and so on. The order can be found here The Vault:Article layout guideline#Section order and naming.
