Find out what ZAX is calculating was a Boulder Dome quest in Van Buren.
Walkthrough[]
The player could discover what ZAX at Boulder Dome has been calculating. The exact method is unknown, but it is known that the player would discover that ZAX works for Presper and:
- analyzes plague vectors (like ODYSSEUS) and
- attempts to locate the crash site of the Argus satellite.
ZAX has already finished the second calculation, meaning the player can find the crash site with NCR troops securing it. The reason for their interest is that the Argus wreckage contains a black box, whose signature is required to unlock the code for the BOMB-001 base.
