Squill is a Pitt raider in The Pitt in 2277.

Background[]

Squill has no withering put-downs or disgusting, antisocial behaviors. Instead, she is enthusiastic and appreciates fighting prowess. She is a genial, good-natured, and dedicated soldier.[1]

She is actually a former slave, who fought her way through The Hole. She also mentions that she often fires into the arena from the spectator area if the fight isn't exciting enough. When this was done to her when she was a gladiator slave, she shot back.

Behind the scenes[]

Her name is likely a reference to Squirrel Hill, a residential Pittsburgh neighborhood that Carnegie Mellon University students call "Squill" for short.
