Lexington (once known as Corvega Town[1]) is the remains of the city of Lexington, Massachusetts.
Background[]
Lexington was first settled circa 1642 as part of Cambridge, Massachusetts. What is now Lexington was then incorporated as a parish, called Cambridge Farms, in 1691. This allowed them to have a separate church and minister, but were still under jurisdiction of the Town of Cambridge. Lexington was incorporated as a separate town in 1713. It was then that it got the name Lexington, under which it would go down in history. On April 19, 1775, the first battle of the American Revolutionary War was a battle at Lexington. After the rout, the British marched on toward Concord where the militia had been allowed time to organize at the Old North Bridge and turn back the British and prevent them from capturing and destroying the militia's arms stores.
In the 21st century, a massive Corvega assembly factory was erected inside the southern district. It effectively became a corporate town, owned by Chryslus Motors.[2] After the Great War, it became a hot spot for raiders, although they've recently been driven into the factory after an infestation of feral ghouls swarmed the area.[1]
Layout[]
The town is split in half by the massive superhighway, with the northern district oriented around the Battle Green (the town square), while the southern district is occupied by the monstrous Corvega Factory.
Northern district[]
Completely overrun by feral ghouls, Lexington is mostly safe to explore and contains a great deal of information and loot for the patient wasteland explorer. The Battle Green should be avoided at first, as raiders in power armor are occupying the high ground, hidden behind a billboard beneath the sign proclaiming Lexington as Corvega town, supported by a turret emplacement. After clearing them, the northern part of the town is fairly safe, ferals are excepted.
Some points of interest include a franchise coffee shop and a Red Rocket gas station in the north-western quadrant, and of course the Super-Duper Mart. Going northeast, one can find the Lexington Bank, already plundered of all of its goods (though one can pick up over 150 pre-War money stacks there), as well as the residential buildings, with Mystic Pines further to the north.
The largest building in the residential section is the block of flats, with a small raider camp down where the pool would be (now it's a cesspool). The roof is accessible through the fire escape and contains a ruined penthouse used as a base by a raider psycho in power armor. Great place to practice jumping down with power armor.

In the 21st century, the southern parts of Lexington were remodeled heavily to accommodate the new superhighway. Buildings were pulverized or rebuilt extensively to provide sound structural support for the massive highways passing overhead. Many of these pillars remain structurally sound and in use. A road runs parallel to the highway underneath and provides a useful reference point. The western part contains a small pharmacy with minor loot, as well as open buildings with additional minor goodies. The bus station lies at the western end of the road leading out of Lexington. The eastern end leads directly into the Corvega assembly plant, up an access road with plenty of good sighting lines, ideal for a marksman.
