Myron (? - 2242[1]) is the Mordino Family's drug wizard, and the bane of Reno's whores in Fallout 2.
Background[]
A pasty-faced teenager[2] with greasy hair and the faint smell of laboratory formaldehyde hanging seemingly permanently about him,[3] Myron is a scientific prodigy, the self-taught genius responsible for the invention of Jet for the Mordino crime family of New Reno.[4][5] The first samples arrived in Redding in January 2241 and began addicting miners en masse, bringing the strategic town closer to Reno.[6] Mordinos rewarded Myron lavishly, with a steady supply of luxurious goods, prostitutes, money, and an entire dedicated laboratory and manufacturing plant located at the Stables north of the city.
His adolescent accomplishments left him with numerous personality flaws. He is boastful, arrogant, self-centered, and has a seemingly unmitigated sex drive many prostitutes servicing him find unpleasant. His efforts to refine his "pet project" are motivated not so much by greed, but by his desire to prove to himself that he was, is, and will be a genius in the field of entertainment chemistry.[7] He cares little for others, least of all slaves, whom he treats like objects rather than human beings. Mutants earn even less respect from him.
Myron was stabbed to death by a Jet addict less than a year after the defeat of the Enclave, while he was drinking at a bar in the Den. His name was quickly forgotten, as was his participation in the invention and development of the infamous drug.[1]

Recruiting[]
- Myron is located at the Stables, in the underground. To reach him, the player has several options:
- Talk to Marjorie Reed and secure an ID badge (Science 76% is required; male characters can also woo her with Charisma 7 or Charisma 6 and either Smooth Talker or 66% Speech, and both genders can steal the badge), then flash it at the guards standing in front of the door.
- Mention that they have an appointment with Myron (female, Charisma 6 or Porn Star required).
- Wait for team members to walk through the door and open it, then just enter the room, as the script is tied to the scenery object (the door), not the hex where it is located).
- Recruiting Myron is worth 750 xp and can be accomplished by talking to him about Jet, then suggesting the Mordinos can appreciate him more if he disappears. Choosing the first conversation line consistently guarantees a recruitment.
Team member[]
- Of all the potential team members, Myron is the least useful in combat. Energy pistols are the best choice for him, but with a maximum Energy Weapons skill of just 95%, he's mostly a distraction. He is also a bigot and if Marcus or Lenny are in the party, he'll repeatedly suggest sending them forward to scout, alone (and if the player's party is full, he'll call Marcus mutant trash and Lenny prone to losing body parts). Both mutants take it in stride. Cassidy is much more strict and will constantly remind Myron to stay on his best behavior and what will happen if he steps out of line. He also despises tribals and completely disregards slaves as human beings.
- His biggest advantage is the ability to craft antidotes, stimpaks, and super stimpaks (consult the charts below). In addition, the player can also speculate on a potential cure for Jet with him.

Quests[]
- Find some endorphin blockers to make a cure for Jet.: Myron can be convinced that Jet addiction can be cured with endorphin blockers. This requires Intelligence 7 and Science 81% (or Intelligence 9 and Science 76%).
Other interactions[]
- Characters with less than 4 Intelligence, Myron cannot be recruited, but the player can intimidate and rob him (he spawns 3 Super Stimpaks, 3 Stimpaks, 2 Jet and 1 Red Condom in his inventory; this also happens upon recruitment or attacking him).
- Female characters with 6 or more Charisma (and Porn Stars regardless of Charisma score) can recruit Myron as normal, but he will become even more insufferable, trying to pick the Chosen One up with a variety of pathetic replies.
- Now, female characters with less than 4 Intelligence and 6 or more Charisma (or Porn Stars) will get an unique interaction. Myron will offer a drink. It's spiked and will knock the player out unless they have Endurance 7 or Chem Resistant, in which case they can still rob Myron of all the items he carries as normal. Otherwise, Myron will rape the Chosen One.
- If the player asks him to leave, Myron will beg to stay and offer to help out more. This includes:
- Revealing a Mordino stash in Golgotha. Once he mentions it, the player can go there and dig up the third grave from the top in the southern sector to receive a portion of Buffout and Jet, a .44 Magnum revolver, 40 .44 Magnum JHP, three Jet portions, one gold nugget, and $171. The grave is empty if Myron doesn't reveal the stash exists. Myron's scripted to point out the grave, but the script plays as soon as the player enters the map and the pointers are less than useful.
- Promising to carry more stuff. This was supposed to increase his carry weight by 10, but is broken even with official patches. killap's unofficial patch fixes this feature.
- Myron was also supposed to mark the EPA on the map, but this feature is dummied out, as the location was cut.
- Bringing Myron to the Shark Club will trigger an unique routine spoken by the comedian.

- Myron's voice actor, Jason Marsden, is also voicing Craig Boone in Fallout: New Vegas.
