Mini-FOT LogoThe following is based on Fallout Tactics and some details might contradict canon.

The MEC Gauss minigun is a big gun in Fallout Tactics.

Background[]

The following section is transcluded from Minigun. To modify, please edit the source page.

An extremely rare minigun, the MEC Gauss minigun was designed by the Chinese. Atypical for an automatic weapon, it uses Gauss technology, multiple electromagnetic fields to firing 2mm ammunition at over 90,000 rounds per minute to relativistic velocities, with an ammo capacity of 80x 2mm round.[1]

Characteristics[]

The Gauss minigun is easily the most destructive weapon in the game, with good range and insane damage (triple that of the Browning M2). Nothing comes close to its damage output. Its only drawback is the limited supply of 2mm EC ammo, which has to be bought from the quartermaster or very carefully scrounged and managed to prevent depriving sharpshooters of ammo.
