The fat mine is an explosive weapon added with the Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Gun Runners' Arsenal.
Characteristics[]
Main article: Mini nuke
After deploying it, the mine will detonate if a target enters a 1.4m (4.6 feet)[1] detection radius. The detonation occurs after 3 seconds, dealing damage in a spectacular 20m (65 feet)[2] radius and leaving behind a 7.3m (24 feet)[3] radius irradiated zone (10 rads per second for 12 seconds). The detonation time is affected by the target's Explosive's skill.
The Fat mine qualifies as an improved holdout weapon, the most powerful of its kind.
