— Official description

Far Harbor is an add-on for Fallout 4, developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

Release and availability[]

Far Harbor was released on all platforms on May 19, 2016. It costs $24.99, the most expensive add-on to any game in the Fallout series.

Overview[]

A new case from Valentine's Detective Agency leads the Sole Survivor on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. They travel to the mysterious Mount Desert Island off the coast of Maine, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigating through the small town of Far Harbor and the rest of island, they uncover the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. The opportunity to bring peace to Far Harbor arises, but will they take it, and at what cost?

Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that Bethesda Game Studios has ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Additionally, the player can become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. Completion of the quest Getting a Clue is required to begin the Far Harbor add-on.

Features[]

  • A new landmass bigger than any previous add-on developed by Bethesda Game Studios (including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Dragonborn).
  • A new three-way faction conflict with quests, settlements, new creatures, and dungeons for spelunking.
  • As usual, more gear and crafting options.
