Overview[]

Derived statistics in the game govern the general performance of your character in combat and while traveling.

List[]

Action Point[]

Action points make a return and determine the amount of actions you can take in VATS, divided by the weapon's AP cost. They are determined by perks taken, drugs, and can be further modified by equipped gear.

Carry Weight[]

The amount of gear you can carry, determined by Strength and gear or power armor mods.

Critical Hit[]

Critical hit mechanics have been modified: Critical hits no longer occur at random, but are the result of filling a critical meter in VATS and then deliberately invoking it. The speed at which critical meter fills up is determined by Luck and perks, while the lethality is affected by the mods mounted on the weapon.

Melee Damage[]

Derived from Strength
(WPN + MOD) * (1 + (0.1 * STR))
WPN = base damage of the weapon
MOD = total damage coming from mods equipped on weapon
STR = player's Strength stat

Hit Points[]

The general amount of health your character can take, determined by Endurance and applicable perks. Different health levels can have different effects, depending on perks and especially legendary equipment.
