This page lists all add-ons in Fallout 4. |
Publication history[]
Bethesda Softworks continued the trend established with Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Add-ons for Fallout 4 were confirmed on February 16, 2016 with the announcement of three add-ons for all platforms: Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, and Far Harbor, released in March, April, and May 2016, respectively. Another trilogy of add-ons was announced at Bethesda Softworks's keynote at E3 2016, announcing Contraptions Workshop, Vault-Tec Workshop, and Nuka-World released in June, July and August of 2016, respectively.
Half of the add-ons focused on expanding the lore of the Fallout universe with new characters, locales, gear and quest lines, while the other half were mainly focused on expanding the utility of settlements and workshop mode.
Story add-ons[]
Automatron[]
The Mechanist has unleashed an army of evil robots upon the Commonwealth. The Sole Survivor can hunt down these robots and scrap them for parts, allowing them to build and modify robotic companions of their own, but more importantly, they must hunt down the Mechanist and bring an end to their reign of tyranny and slaughter. It was released on all platforms on March 22, 2016.
Far Harbor[]
A new case from the Valentine Detective Agency takes the Sole Survivor to Far Harbor, an island off the coast of Maine, where more severe radiation has made a more feral world. While on the job to track down a young woman and a secret colony of synths, the Sole Survivor becomes enveloped in the local politics between these synths, the coastal town, and the Children of Atom. It was released for all platforms on May 19, 2016.
Nuka-World[]
Nuka-World takes the Sole Survivor to the titular amusement park once run by the Nuka-Cola Corporation. The theme park has become the headquarters for three raider gangs who wish to expand into the Commonwealth. The Sole Survivor can either run with these gangs and wreak havoc on the peaceful settlers of the Commonwealth, or take the fight to the raiders, freeing all of the slaves the raiders took captive and returning Nuka-World to the trading hub it once was. The add-on was released for all platforms on August 30, 2016.
Workshop add-ons[]
Wasteland Workshop[]
The Sole Survivor can now design and build cages to trap wasteland creatures for their own amusement, either to tame them or pit them against other captured creatures in a wasteland battle royale. It was released for all platforms on April 12, 2016.
Contraptions Workshop[]
This add-on increases the range of contraptions that can be built at a settlement, including equipment forges, conveyor belts, Rube Goldberg devices, sorting machines, and more! The add-on was released for all platforms on June 21, 2016.
Vault-Tec Workshop[]
The Vault-Tec Workshop allows the Sole Survivor to uncover and eventually control the unfinished Vault 88 and continue to build it throughout the massive caverns. The vault also comes with the dwellers and experiments necessary for a proper vault. The add-on was released for all platforms on July 26, 2016.
