Guide a pack of abandoned Brahmin back home.

Event: Free Range is a event in Fallout 76. This event was added in the Wild Appalachia content series in patch 1.1.3.11.

Synopsis[]

The dwellers find a pack of abandoned Brahmin on the road. The out-of-commission Mr. Farmhand that was in charge of them has a Shepherd's Crook and some instructions on how to herd them. Using the power of the Crook, they can herd these Brahmin home.

Walkthrough[]

  • The event requires players to herd the brahmin to the target location while defending them from attacks and then defend them again, from the sheepsquatch. The herd always contains three brahmin with randomly selected names (Bessie, Bourbon, Dahlia, Daisy, Dandy, Duke, Earl, Esmeralda, Grognak, Homer, Humphry, Nuka-Cowla, Penelope, Sampson, or Sugar Bomb).
  • Possible destinations are the Aaronholt Homestead, Beckwith Farm, or Delano Grange. Once the crook is equipped, players simply need to interact with the brahmin ("use" them) to make them move along the road to their destination. The herd will come under attack at least two times on the way. The attacking beasts will target the brahmin first, but they can be aggro'ed by hitting them with any weapon. Since the attack includes multiple monsters, it's recommended to bring fast firing weapons for keeping them occupied, especially since the brahmin are quite fragile, but that doesn't stop them from attacking.
