Fall back to regroup!

— Enclave scientist, Fallout 3.

Enclave scientists are members of the Enclave R&D corps in Fallout 3..

Background

Enclave Scientists perform research and development of new and improved weaponry for the Enclave. Wearing a white, airtight environmental suit with an orange Plexiglas visor, they are easily identified amongst the Enclave's personnel. Although they are armed with AEP7 laser pistols and have had some combat training, they very rarely make actual use of them; with few exceptions, virtually every Enclave scientist will flee rather than fight. They are, without a doubt, the brains to match Enclave soldiers' brawn.

Daily schedule

Enclave scientists can be found working on their projects at several Enclave bases, such as Raven Rock and the Mobile Base Crawler.

Notes

  • They will rarely attack and will instead usually choose to flee upon sight of the Lone Wanderer.
  • They use the same dialogue files as Enclave soldiers and officers, including lines such as "Target locked," "Engaging!" and "Fall back to regroup!"
  • They have a very low number of hit points and can be killed very easily, with many weapons being capable of killing them in one hit.

Appearances

These Enclave scientists appear in Fallout 3 and the Fallout 3 add-on Broken Steel.
