MODUS, the artificial intelligence leading the Enclave in Appalachia, wants the ability to conduct automated patrols on the surface. In order to achieve this, however, it requires a presence and an automated bot shop on the surface. The newly recruited members of the Enclave, Vault 76 dwellers, I’ve chosen to conduct a separation an aid by securing such a spot and defending the robots while they are out on patrol.
Walkthrough
The quest becomes available after Officer on Deck begins. The goal of the event is to protect a small group of bots from incoming enemies while they are reprogrammed by MODUS. The event will only fire if the player is near a Bot Stop location (see map in the infobox) and is a member of the Enclave.
MODUS will request that the player activate the Bot Stop terminal and connect it to its network. After players do so, MODUS will manufacture and release bots from the tubes, which then have to be protected for roughly three minutes until they are reprogrammed.
The robots are targeted by waves of enemies and will only protect themselves to a limited degree. To succeed, the player needs to kill off the enemies proactively.
After the timer is finished and must then eliminate any remaining enemies to complete the event. Completing the event grants two commendations if Officer on Deck is active.
