Dorchester Heights is an unmarked location in the Commonwealth.
Background[]
Dorchester Heights is the central area of South Boston, with a monument dating back to 1902 commemorating the resolution of the siege of Boston in 1776. In March that year, Continental Army soldiers managed to fortify the Heights without drawing the attention of the British forces stationed in Boston. With prefabricated fortifications and artillery placed on the Heights, the British had to either chance taking the entrenched position of the Continental Army or withdraw. General Howe, commanding officer of the British, decided that discretion was the better part of valor.
Layout[]
The square is an elevated plateau reinforced with masonry on the slopes, surrounding the monument. Dense Bostonian architecture extends around the square, with an adjacent raider camp at the South Boston High School just next to the square.
Appearances[]
Dorchester Heights appears only in Fallout 4.
