Doc Mitchell's house is a Usonian house in Goodsprings, owned by the eponymous doctor. Apart from acting as the town's medical clinic, it doubles as the starting location of Fallout: New Vegas.
Layout[]
A single-story house, the house is built along a single central area terminating in a living room with a fireplace. The northern half of the house contains the aforementioned living room and the adjacent study, converted into a medical clinic complete with an operating table, single-bed ward, and a Vit-o-Matic Vigor Tester used to assign SPECIAL points during character creation. The southern half contains the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom used by Doc Mitchell.

- Skill-based
- In the clinic is a lab kit, allowing the player to create five stimpaks or chems: Psycho, Buffout, Mentats , Steady, and Rebound.
- Next to the lab kit table is a broken 9mm submachine gun. It can be repaired with 25 Repair skill.
- Other loot
- The items in Doc Mitchell's house are not marked as owned so the player can't force hostility before character creation is complete.[1]
- Today's Physician: Near the operating table, on the bench.
- Laser pistol and some energy cells: Gun box on the shelves in the clinic.
- Caps in various amounts.
- Rad-X, Antivenom, Med-X, stimpaks: Scattered around the clinic, including the rusted metal shelves.
- Doctor's bag: Next to the bed in the clinic.
- 15 .357 Magnum round: Footlocker on the shelves (may spawn other ammunition types).
- Reading glasses: On the operating table, useful for the Four Eyes trait.
- Two first aid boxes on the shelf in the hallway.
